Buying a Starlift. What are Your Options?
Getting a stairlift can be a major investment so getting it right is important. That’s why we like to make it as easy as to meet not only your needs but also your budget. To do this we offer the following options:
The most popular option is to purchase a new stairlift outright. It’s the best way to ensure that you can get exactly what you want, and it the case of a curved stairlift, it’s the only option that you have
If you’re looking to save a few Euro or having the newest model isn’t the most important thing to you, we can offer the option of a fully re-conditioned second-hand stairlift.
All of our reconditioned Stairlifts are factory refurbished and come with a 2-year warranty as standard. They also get a full safety check and service carried out before installation. Due to high demand refurbished stairlifts may not always be in stock.
Please note that as curved stairlifts are custom-fitted, we can only offer straight stairlifts for reconditioned sale.
We also understand that you might not need a stairlift permanently. That’s why in certain situations, we’re able to offer you the option of taking a stairlift under a short-term rental agreement.
Please note that short-term rental is only available on Straight Stairlifts. Please contact us for more details on renting a stairlift for your short to medium-term needs.
Depending on your situation you may be eligible for a Stairlift grant from your local authority. People seeking a grant should refer to their local authority website. Look for “Housing”, “Housing Grants Scheme” or “Housing Adaption Grants”. Forms can be downloaded so that you can go through exactly what is required to avail of the scheme. Access Stairs can help you through the process of applying for a grant as we’ve already worked with every county council in the country.
